July

We have just been working & doing some playing during this summer. Clifford has worked lots of OT, so no big projects this summer. I haven't been too good at taking pictures, but here's some of happenings around the ranch.

Brand new calf - it's about 3 hrs old here. The momma was VERY protective and had her eye out for Toby. He's so excited to have something close to his size to 'play' with, that he forgets that the big momma's will trample him! Momma rushed me twice while trying to take this picture while also shooing them out of the house pad. (I gave up & let them stay)
This little critter can make a LOUD noise! I thought an entire army of frogs had gotten in the barn, but no, it was just one. He was taking advantage of the excellent acoustics to broadcast his mating call.
We have 2 (maybe 3) baby Bobwhites that just hatched. Clifford had found the wire/nest on the tractor & moved it to a safer location. There were 4 eggs, so we weren't sure that they'd hatch. It's been fun watching the momma fly around & bring them their food.
