Wedding stuff

So, the secret is out.... Clifford & I got married on June 5th. We've been planning it since last July, but it was just so much fun to aggravate those around us... (Mike, Kayleen, to name a few) Also, we needed a place to live once we got married. Neither one of us wanted a 1.5 hr commute, especially after Clifford worked the 12-hr night shift.  The original plan was December, but then there was this little hurricane called Ike and a month of shut-down/OT so no work got done. Then it was Spring Break, but the barn/slab wasn't finished then.  (Thank you Laura for changing plans multiple times!) School let out on the 4th and I no longer have to commute, so it works out great.  We'll finish the barn & apartment by the end of summer & then live there while we build our house.  Lots of fun, new exciting things going on here, and now that I don't have to watch my 'blog wording' I'll try to update more frequently! :)

Here are some pictures that were taken during the wedding. Tonya has an album on snapfish, which is a lot better. I'll put the link at the bottom of this post.  Nathan, Tonya & kids and Ryan, Julie & kids came in for the ceremony and then dinner at a great steakhouse in Houston. Nathan & Tonya stayed at my house & took care of the dogs while we spent a few days at the beach in Port Aransas.  If anyone wants a great house-sitter, just call Nathan - he mowed the lawn! Yeah!!

The judge has FINALLY arrived (jeans, tank-top, & awesome flip-flops) and we're trying to figure out how this all goes...

Mr & Mrs Walker
It's official, we have rings to prove it!
The 'wedding party'

Yeah, 5 minutes is all it took to say 'I do' for a lifetime!

Great museum in Corpus Christi - they had a photography exhibit of only TX coast photographers, some of the original surf boards, and a lot of history of the sport in TX. There was also a cute street fair with artists, wine tasting, crafts, and live music.

Lots of little cafes/burger joints along the beach & in town.
This is where we ate Sat pm. They started out with great live music, but it then someone else got the mic and then we left....
Our favorite breakfast place - Beach & Station Street Grill. Down-home, relaxed place with good food.
Our 'home' for two days. There are tons of little cabins around town. We were about 2 blocks from the beach.
Tons of these cottages around town in awesome ice cream colors. Makes you want to be on vacation forever!
