Dickens at Galveston

Galveston Island has a great festival - all things Charles Dickens! There's even a knighting ceremony done by the Queen of England (not sure if it's the real one or not). Mr. Dickens' great-great-... grandson was there to sign books.

Did they have concrete curbs back then??
